About Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless was created in the year 2000 when two major communication companies, Bell Atlantic Corp. and GTE Corp. merged together.
Over the years, Verizon played a role in creating many past and present wireless communication standards, from 3G and the old-fashioned two-year cell phone contract to picture messaging and the first smartphones.
Today, Verizon is known for its wide coverage and excellent service, as well as being one of the top cell phone providers in the United States.
They aim to “enhance the ability of humans, businesses, and society to do more good.”
